Cooperation with India

India is one of the most important partner countries of the University of Passau in terms of the number of visiting researchers and exchange students.

The School of Business, Economics and Information Systems of the University of Passau and the Department of Management Studies of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) in Chennai have a long-standing friendship, which is characterized by numerous research cooperations and a lively exchange of scientists, guest lecturers and students. In particular, there is a Joint Doctoral Degree Programme since 2014 and a Joint Master's Degree Programme since 2019.

The partnership is supported by the funding programme "A New Passage to India" of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Furthermore, the School of Business, Economics and Information Systems maintains a partnership with the T.A.Pai Management Institute in Manipal, Karnataka.
