Surya Karunagaran kehrt, nachdem sie bereits ein halbes Jahr am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Lehner zur Anfertigung ihrer Masterarbeit verbracht hat, nach Passau als Doktorandin zurück. Sie ist eine der ersten Teilnehmer des Joint-PhD-Programms und stellt sich hier kurz vor:

„I am a DAAD exchange student doing my joint PhD program under the guidance of Professor Lehner. We are working on the management perspective of Cloud computing. The joint PhD program offered here is one of a kind, where student can do a part or entire thesis under the supervision of Professors from both home university and Uni Passau. The most important aspect of this program is that it pushes us from our comfort zone in order to perform well. But at the same time providing the required support needed for the success. 

This program has helped me gain many skills from an international perspective. I got to know so much about the country and its culture which no book can teach. My mighty thanks Prof. Lehner and his chair for providing me this opportunity. I enjoy every bit of my student life here!“
